Canada Round 2!

When I left Canada in May I promised everyone I'd be back - no one expected me to be back so soon! Alex was the only one who knew I was coming back so it was so much fun surprising everyone else when I got there! Out of everyone, Kayla definitely wins the prize for best reaction (Kayla is furthest right!)

I stayed with Alex for the first couple of weeks & got to be reunited with all her family who came up for Floatilla! This is a weekend that Alex's family organise every year. All her family and friends come up to her property to float on the lake and consume a good amount of alcohol! I tried to represent the Scottish well, but her Nana out-drinks me every time!

Rib Fest in Downtown Sudbury! (excuse the rib guy in the back!)
After an amazing couple of weeks in Sudbury it was time to head to Toronto! I would like to say thank you to Alex & all her family for all the crazy new things they let me try, they've managed to make even the girliest fashion student feel outdoorsy!

I had an amazing month and it was literally the best feeling in the world to be reunited with all the people I had been missing so much! Canada is starting to feel like a second home now and I know I will definitely be back again! Thank you so much to all the people that once again made my time there so incredible!

I'm On Island Time

The title of this blog post perfectly describes my time on Manitoulin Island, I don't think I checked my watch once the whole time I was there! I was either way too busy between cliff jumping and snorkeling (around a sunken ship!) or too relaxed lying on the front of a speedboat sunbathing!

Me, Alex & her Mum went to the island for the weekend and stayed with her family friends Gisele and Brian and we had an amazing time!
My favourite Canadian - Alex!

The best fish & chips I've ever had! Killarney - Manitoulin Island
The water was a bit chilly!
I would like to say a big thank you to Gisele and Brian for looking after us and showing us so many amazing parts of the island! It was so amazing to experience a new part of Canada!

Foreign Connections

It's always handy as a fashion blogger to have talented friends that can help you out when you need a little blog inspiration! One of my Canadians, Josh, can create some seriously cool tie dye designs so I gave him my preferred colour scheme (pink is always a must) and within a few weeks I got a package all the way from Canada! The t-shirt is amazing and at only $20 (roughly £11) they are a total steal! If you want one of your own personalized tie dye creations, all you have to do is go to the Solar System Tie Dye Facebook page and send him a message!

Summer Wardrobe

After my first pay day I could not resist a little bit of shopping, even if Summer clothes don't get much use here in Scotland! I got some good investments as I'm starting to learn that I need to buy clothes I will wear more than once! I've sold 100 things on eBay and still have a long way to go before clearing everything I will never wear again!!
I would like to say a big thank you to my friend Seonaid who did an amazing job taking these pictures yesterday. It was actually her idea to do the shoot!

Look 1: Leather & Simple T

*I bought another pair of my first Nike Blazers, I tried to replace them but I've been missing them too much!!

Look 2: Chanel & Pastels

This is the first time I've featured my little Fiat 500 on the blog! His name is Paolo and he is my baby, I have vowed never to own another car after him!!

Look 3: Natural White

White Dress/£14.99/Zara

Look 4: Denim & Graphic T

T-shirt/£4.99/Primark
Denim Shorts/£24.99/River Island
Leopard Slip Ons/£12.00/Office

So that's my latest Summer purchases.. for now! I finish up with Armani in August and am going on a major detox so will be posting some health kick blog posts! I've ordered a Skinny Teatox so I'll be reviewing that too. And then I've got my trip to New York which will definitely need more than a few blog posts!

Festival Styling

I've been so crazy busy lately I've not had a spare second to blog! In between catching up with all my home friends and job hunting I managed to squeeze in some photos before I headed into Glasgow for the Radio 1 Big Weekend! It was an absolutely amazing festival and I spent at least 90% of my time on people's shoulders, which led to more than a couple of TV appearances! My top 5 best acts (with links to the highlights) were:
1) Martin Garrix
2) John Newman
3) Tiesto
4) Paolo Nutini
5) Klaxons

It was a complete luxury to go and enjoy all the music of a festival and be able to wear NICE clothes that are a bit less likely to get covered in mud and alcohol over the course of the weekend! I took advantage of this and wore my best festival inspired looks:

Day 1
Bodysuit/£10.50/Forever 21 X Keith Haring
Denim Hot pants/£20/Glamorous
Socks/£6/Urban Outfitters
Velvet Boots/£30/H&M

Day 2

Floral Headband/£11.99/Topshop
Black Crop Top/£15/Urban Outfitters
Lace Shorts/£5/Urban Planet
Socks/£6/Urban Outfitters
Velvet Boots/£30/H&M

Day 3
Bodysuit/£30/American Apparel
Denim Shorts/£19.99/Missguided
Socks/£6/Urban Outfitters
Velvet Boots/£30/H&M

I had an amazing weekend and it was definitely the perfect way to start my Summer. I'm now going to be working full time at Emporio Armani (aaaaah!!!) which I am so excited to start on Saturday! I'll be posting some of my latest purchases soon, and doing a review of my Tens sunglasses when they arrive!
